The Sharper Image – The ultimate gadget site.
You’ll
find items here that you won’t see anywhere else… and
we’ve bought a number of them. We like going back to this site
every so often just to see what’s new. Check out the robotic
floor vac! Why didn’t we invent that? |
Blue Nile – Beautiful watches,
bracelets, rings, necklaces, and all sorts of other bling bling. The
good folks at Blue Nile know their jewelry… and
they want you to know about it, too, before you purchase. That’s
why they have a whole section devoted to educating the consumer on
diamond facts and how to choose the perfect jewelry for you. Now that’s
classy. |
Relax The Back – So what kind of chair are you
sitting in right now? Is it comfortable… or confining? Maybe
it’s a leftover from the Spanish Inquisition? It’s time
you did your back a favor and order a new chair from the experts at
Relax the Back. After all, a spine is a terrible thing to waste. |

Luggage OnLine – So if you’re
planning a trip (Sunset Point Villa on Turks and Caicos would be our
recommendation, of course) maybe it’s time for a new set of travel
bags. We’re not sure, but it seems like luggageonline.com has
every known luggage manufacturer known to man. You won’t find
that at your local department store! |
Smarthome - We've bought a number of nifty products
from Smarthome, the
world's largest retailer of home automation products. Yes, we've come
a long
way since The Clapper. (Remember clap on, clap off?) Now, control of
your
lighting, security, and even home theater is just a remote control
click
away! |
Bare Necessities – Guys… if you can tear
yourselves away from the models, go to the Men’s Guide To Buying
Lingerie She’ll Actually Like. It gives sure-fire tips for choosing
the perfect bare necessities that will make you both happy. And ladies… there’s
a men’s department, too. |
1-800-flowers – Nothing says “I
love you”, “Happy birthday”, “Congratulations”, “Happy
anniversary”, or “Sorry I forgot our anniversary” like
a bouquet of flowers. Once you’ve experienced the ease of ordering
over the net, you’ll never order flowers any other way again! |
Mikasa – A leader
in dinnerware, stemware, flatware, barware… but not underwear.
Go to Bare Necessities for that. We just bought some funky Mikasa
martini glasses for a gift. Go to the “ideas’ section and
check out all the possibilities. |
Alibris – Our favorite bookstore. A classy
looking site, Alibris bills itself as the world’s most comprehensive
source of used, new, and hard-to-find books, music, and movies with
a worldwide network of independent sellers. |
Things Remembered – This store’s
unique selling feature is engraving… personalized gifts for
weddings, business, and special occasions. Great variety of gifts and
the engraving is a very nice touch. (Even cool stuff for the golfer
who has everything!) |
Waterford – We knew the name.
But we had no idea how many different products Waterford offered! Very
elegant, very eye-catching … and each one a work of art. We
can imagine all the brides-to-be browsing this site for hours on end,
mesmerized and glassy eyed. (No pun intended). |
Wine.com – We’re not connoisseurs,
but we know what we like… and we do like to drink wine. Good
wine. And isn’t it nice to know that buying virtually any variety
of any vineyard is just a mouse click away. Cheers! |
